Otakon 2014 is next week! I'm already excited as this is literally the biggest gathering of Mai-Multiverse members. Myself, Banie, Mi-Cray, Special-K, Nyann, Dye and Deppy. With six whacky girls, one convention and a billion Sailor Moon fans, this is going to be one for the ages. I already talked about our con plans on YouTube, but basically we're holding tournaments in the hotel room for Mai-Otome Butou Shi (1-on-1 versus) and Power Stone 2 (4-player). We're also doing a 4player playthrough for Sailor Moon R. On top of all that, we will be holding a yuri marathon that will last the entire weekend (again, during hotel dwelling). Sailor Moon Saturday will be the most entertaining day as we meet past and present dub voice actors. Really looking forward to meeting Katie Griffin, Linda Ballantyne and Stephanie Sheh. So awesome. 2013 is without a doubt the fastest year ever, dude. Seriously, June is just a few days away? Fuck! What happened?!

This will work to our advantage...says Chancellor McDiarmid in the worst Star Wars movie of all time. Herp. No really, there are so many trips coming up that I may just go broke by the end of the year. Another trip to see my girlfriend in Indonesia, Otakon 2013, a yoga retreat to Colarado and Lord knows how many car trips to Seaside Heights. LOL! After it's all said and done, I will be returning to university for a few semesters.

Otakon 2013 may be the highlight of the year for me. As much as I love seeing my girl a billion miles away, this year's Otakon is the 20th anniversary. Again, time? SO FUCKING FAST. You can't catch it, dude. I attended the very first one back in 1994. It was the only Otakon that I ever attended with my parents and it was such a shitty dive at the Pennsylvania Day Inn looking back on it! If I can stop being so lazy, I'll upload the footage my dad took. It's considered rare to have footage of the early Otakons according to many.

This year will be a tough one to top as several friends from my group Mai-Multiverse (the greatest third-party company in the world! W00t!) will be attending in a larger group compared to the previous years. I said this about last year's gathering, but I just love how everyone is so different in style, appearance, personality, etc. Yet, we all got along fantastic. *Most* of the groups at Otakon have the same looking people with the same awkward, shy and sometimes obnoxious internet meme personalities. At least me, Stephanie, Ran, Kara and the others were all that plus more. We could switch from "normal" to awesome to unique to diverse at the drop of a hat. This year, all bets are off with our latest additions to the crew. The biggest Once Upon a Time fangirl is with us (ya'll know who that is, if you're from MM YEE-HAW!) and so is Ms. Noir Suit with more voice acting range than a room full of FUNimation's BEST. The universe could explode here and never recover, I can't fucking wait.

As for my gallery, I have a couple of Mai-HiME stuff coming your way in June and July, followed by all the pictures we'll be taking at Otakon. Kagura stuff will be light after the next two entries, although I will be requesting tons of Kagura commissions at Otakon's Artist Alley. Plus there's a lost Kagura artwork that was made for me at the last Otakon and the artist JUST got around to it. I'm not mad, but oh my god, she actually remembered! It's a really sleek looking Kagura chibi too, hope you maniacs like it! After that I'll be taking a break from uploading new artworks because A. Commissioned artworks are getting pricey and B. I want to recover my cash after Otakon.

Well, I'm off on an express elevator to Hell. Goin' dowwwwn!

Yo! Happy premature New Year.

Yeah, a bit early right? Hence the 'premature' part. No promises that I'll be available the day New Years hits, so I wanted to go ahead and throw that out now. 2012 has been a good year. I got to travel, removed toxic people from my life and I got to meet some amazing new people. Everybody at my job is so supportive of my ambitions and training to be an MMA fighter. Which is certainly supported by knowledge, even if I consider myself a novice at all times. There's always something more to discover and I want to be right smack in the middle of it. What better way to close the year than attending a charity event for the unfortunate victims of Hurricane Sandy. Or is that 'Superstorm Sandy' now? It's off Doomsday and onto the mat this Saturday in Atlantic City. Hoping to meet world renowned yoga instructor Seane Corn while I'm there.

Fandom-wise, things are looking quite good. Expect more Kagura animation cels to show up, along with various surprises for Mai-HiME/Otome fans. You know, I look at my group Mai-Multiverse and reflect back once again. Why did I create this little group in the first place? Well, thank none other than yourselves. Yes, I did ignite that initial spark, but it was the members of ShizNat Webs at the time who demanded more. 2013 will be our best year yet, not because of our contributions, but because of the friendships within the community. They have gotten stronger than ever before thanks to me making difficult decisions. You don't cross the Boss and get away with it.

Many of you from my Kagura group have been curious about my thoughts on Janyse Jaud's final performance as Kagura in the Inuyasha Final Act dub. What else is there to say? I've literally poured my heart out to the woman, praising her voice work in Kagura's final episodes. She knew what was at stake for the wind sorceress and stepped up her usual 'A game', which is saying a lot. Kagura is a character I've fallen literally in love with, she is arguably the only character in the series who exposed her humanity so many times, I couldn't focus my attention span on anything else. I'm hoping to start a series of fanfiction for Kagura. It's easier to write for her than any other character or fandom I'm familiar with. It's like being with your soul mate, you feel so comfortable around her (or him).

I am truly happy at this time. I have air in my lungs, great fandoms to support, making good money ( $_$ LOTS OF IT) and I have my girlfriend who always makes me feel special. I am looking forward to the new year. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and Happy New Year! I should take this time to decide what my Christmas movie marathon shall be. All I know is that it'll end with Sailor Moon S: The Movie and Batman Returns. haha.
